Rural Connectivity: More than 103 Billion CFA from World Bank to Senegal

The World Bank approved two additional financings totaling $180 million (103.4 billion CFA francs) for Senegal to boost rural connectivity and territorial development. The first, $140 million approved on July 14, 2026, supports the Agricultural Production Zone Connectivity Project in the North and Center (PEZA). The second, $40 million approved on June 29, 2026, expands the Casamance Economic Development Project (PDEC) to the Kédougou region. These projects aim to improve access to socio-economic services for an expected 570,000 direct beneficiaries and align with Vision Senegal 2050.
