The Ivorian government has launched feasibility studies for a 640 km high-speed rail line connecting Abidjan to Ferkessédougou, via Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, and Korhogo. Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba presented the project as a key axis of President Alassane Ouattara's fourth term. The cost is estimated at 1,000 billion FCFA, with 70% private financing.
