CS Mbadi Assures County Employees of June Salaries Despite Treasury Cash Crunch

Treasury CS John Mbadi assured county government workers that their June salaries will be paid on time despite concerns over delayed Exchequer releases. Appearing before the Senate on Wednesday, he said counties would receive priority in Treasury allocations. The Treasury is expecting Ksh96.9 billion from the World Bank before June 30 after meeting reform conditions. Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna had raised concerns over persistent delays.
