Federal policies raise Nigeria’s exports by 25%, Dantsoho says

Abubakar Dantsoho, managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), says federal policies and reforms raised Nigeria’s exports by 25% over two years. Speaking at the IAPH’s annual World Ports Conference in London, he said growth included manufactured goods, agricultural products such as cocoa and cashew, and oil and gas, and credited improved port efficiency and cooperation with terminal operators. The NPA has established about four export processing terminals to process cargo locally and help ensure it meets international standards. Dantsoho also said two Nigerian ports ranked among the World Bank’s top 20 globally and port revenue had quadrupled.
