M-Pesa Ziidi Trader brings 84,000 investors to bourse

Between February and March 2026, approximately 84,000 small investors purchased shares on the Nairobi bourse through the M-Pesa trading platform, Ziidi Trader. While 511,000 accounts were opened, only 84,000 actively participated in share purchases. The platform facilitated trades valued at Sh772.2 million, represented by 268,840 transactions, with an average market share of 1.67%.
