House of Representatives Threatens Arrest Warrants Against Federal Polytechnic Officials

The House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee has threatened to have Federal Polytechnic, Ede Rector Sani Man Yahaya and Bursar Aishat Shade Adebayo arrested if they fail to appear on October 19, 2026. It wants them to answer questions about procurement irregularities, expenditure discrepancies and unresolved audit queries. The issues include an unretired cash advance, hiring an external solicitor without approval and foreign trips without evidence of authorization. The committee also cited late audited accounts for 2022–2024 and 2023 overhead spending of ₦882.5 million against an approved budget of ₦110.2 million.
