Intellectual Property: With Daren Tang, Abidjan Dreams of a Different Global Ranking

The second HIPOC conference of national intellectual property heads opened in Abidjan on June 4, 2026, with WIPO Director General Daren Tang and OAPI Director General Denis Bohoussou. The goal is to make intellectual property a lever for African growth, especially through digital and youth entrepreneurship. Côte d'Ivoire, a regional leader within OAPI, struggles globally according to the IPRI. Minister Françoise Remarck represented the absent Minister Kalil Konaté.
