Troops rescue 360 abducted women, children in Gwoza operation

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai and Special Operations Forces rescued about 360 civilians, mostly women and children, abducted by terrorists from Ngoshe community in Gwoza LGA, Borno State. The coordinated operation on June 6 targeted multiple locations around the Mandara Mountains. Two infants died during the rescue due to difficult terrain. The rescued received medical care and were moved to a secure holding facility pending reunification.
