Desmond Elliot vows to appeal results of APC Surulere primary

Desmond Elliot has rejected the outcome of the All Progressives Congress primary election for Surulere Constituency I, where he lost to Barakat Odunuga-Bakare. Elliot received 270 votes compared to Odunuga-Bakare's 11,385, who is believed to be backed by Femi Gbajabiamila. He alleged that the primary was marred by intimidation and violence, claiming many of his supporters were denied access to the voting venue. Elliot plans to formally contest the process through the party's internal mechanisms.
