After her mother died in late May, newborn Buswaza was brought to a church-run orphanage in Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo, where she died of Ebola within days. Another baby, a triplet girl less than a year old nicknamed 'Cherie', also died from the virus. Six other infants were identified as suspected cases, but five tested negative and were discharged. Three carers, including a nun, have tested positive for Ebola. Children account for nearly a fifth of confirmed cases in an epidemic that has infected nearly 600 people and killed at least 115.
