An outbreak of acute respiratory syndrome has been reported aboard the cruise ship MV Hondius, traveling from Ushuaia, Argentina, to Cape Verde, resulting in the deaths of two passengers. A third British passenger, aged 69, tested positive for hantavirus and is currently in intensive care in Johannesburg. According to sources, the death toll could reach three, including a Dutch couple, with the first symptomatic case being a 70-year-old cruiser who died aboard the ship.
