Down the valley aboard Tanzania’s luxurious train

Journalist Luke Anami traveled from Nairobi to Ifakara in the Kilombero Valley using Tanzania's new electric SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma. The departure station, originally called Tanzanite Station, was renamed in honor of former President John Magufuli. The train offers a faster alternative to road travel, which takes over 18 hours, while the train provides a quicker link inland.
