Hamzat pledges 40% funding for youth apprenticeship stipends

Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State for the 2027 election, pledged that his administration would cover 40% of apprentice stipends. Speaking at a session with the Nigerian Society of Engineers in Lagos, he said the funding would encourage businesses to take on apprentices and provide vocational and technical training. His plans also include training in artificial intelligence and robotics, and stronger support for young innovators through the Lagos State Science, Research and Innovation Council.
