Cross River: DSS intercepts machine guns and AK-47s, arrests two suspects

The Department of State Services (DSS) intercepted weapons, including General Purpose Machine Guns and AK-47 rifles, along the Bekwarra–Ogoja axis in Nigeria’s Cross River State. Four suspects were reportedly tracked from northern Nigeria through Benue State; two were arrested and two escaped with gunshot wounds. The arrested suspects are to be charged in court as investigators trace the weapons’ origin, transport network, sponsors and intended recipients.
