EACC Dismisses Viral Claims of Ksh 250M Recovered in Nairobi CEC Raid, Confirms Ksh 65.3M Recovery

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has denied viral claims that Ksh 250 million was recovered during a raid at the home of Nairobi County Chief Officer Patrick Analo Akivaga. The EACC confirmed that only Ksh 65.3 million was seized, including Ksh 51.3 million and USD 113,000 (Ksh 14 million). Electronic devices, title deeds, logbooks, and planning documents were also seized as part of a corruption investigation. The commission urged the public to rely solely on official information.
