Artemis II astronauts have crossed the halfway point between Earth and the moon, approximately 322,000 km from Earth and 132,000 km from the moon. NASA released images of Earth taken from the Orion spacecraft, showing a blue globe and swirling clouds. The 10-day mission plans a lunar flyby, a maneuver not attempted in over 50 years, with the goal of establishing a permanent base on the moon for deeper space exploration.
