Kenya's Ministry of Education has launched Phase One of the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) in 10,382 public junior secondary schools. Principal Secretary John Lekakeny Ololtuaa announced that schools will receive smart boards and the government will also roll out a solar power programme to power the devices. The initiative aims to modernize teaching and prepare learners for a digital economy and artificial intelligence.
