ENAFEP: Number of girls drops from 32,850 to 30,568 in one year in Kasaï‑Central 1

The number of female candidates for the National Primary School Leaving Examination (ENAFEP) in the educational province of Kasaï-Central 1 dropped from 32,850 to 30,568, a 7% decrease in one year. This decline worries women's rights organizations, including the NGO Agissons pour la femme, which calls for united efforts to boost girls' participation. A total of 69,066 candidates are taking the 2026 exam, down from 69,479 in 2025, across 235 centers. Acting provincial chief inspector Paulin Mbuyi noted a slight overall drop of 413 candidates, while provincial education minister Honoré Mutshipayi Balowe launched the exam at EP Diakaja.
