Researchers at the University of Queensland in Australia have developed a five-minute questionnaire, the SAFE score, to identify adolescents at risk of endometriosis from their first menstruation. This tool is based on six questions regarding pelvic pain and family history, allowing doctors to decide on referrals to specialists. The aim is to reduce the average diagnostic delay of six to eight years, as endometriosis affects approximately 11% of women of reproductive age worldwide.
