Certificative exams: process of payment of 2025 arrears in Ituri, North and South Kivu

The government has liquidated funds to pay 2025 arrears to participants of national certificative exams in Ituri, North and South Kivu. The director of the North Kivu 1 education province, Luc Gbawez, announced that the remaining 51% of arrears have been settled, following a 49% payment last year. Unions say they have not been informed and recall that only one out of four bonuses was paid in 2025. Despite this, teachers supervise exams out of patriotism, hoping the government will honor its commitments.
