Kisangani: Controversy over governor's public rally amid Ebola outbreak

The governor of Tshopo has called a rally in Kisangani for Saturday, October 24, preceded by a march to denounce the rebellion that he says is led by former president Joseph Kabila. Claudlove Ramazani and student François Longo fear the outbreak could worsen, while Jean Divin Tawamba supports the march as a show of unity behind the FARDC. The governor's spokesperson, Maître Michel Biambe, says hand-sanitizing solutions and physical distancing will be provided, although some state services are requiring their employees to attend.
