Félix Tshisekedi participates in world peace summit in Luanda

President Félix Tshisekedi of the DRC attended the 3rd edition of the global initiative "A Call for Peace" in Luanda on July 16, 2026. Before the summit, he held a bilateral meeting with Angolan President João Lourenço to discuss bilateral cooperation, the DRC's presidency of the UN Security Council, and the security situation in eastern DRC. The DRC emphasized the need to turn peace promises into concrete and verifiable actions. The two-day summit aims to promote peaceful conflict resolution and highlight the role of women, youth, and sports.
