FOIP at 10: Bridging the Indo-Pacific and the Middle East

Ten years ago, Prime Minister Abe advanced the vision of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP), recognizing that this region would become the center of global development. Today, Japan is adapting FOIP to new challenges, emphasizing economic security and building resilient supply chains. Japan also stresses the importance of ensuring free and safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic point for global logistics.
