Ebola: Suspected index patient evacuated from Nigeria by air ambulance, report says

A woman described in unconfirmed reports as Nigeria’s Ebola index patient was reportedly evacuated from the country by air ambulance early Monday. ARISE News said a woman believed to be the wife of a Swiss diplomat was expected to depart around 6 a.m. from the private aviation section of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The outlet reported seeing ambulances and diplomatic vehicles and later obtained footage of a medical aircraft preparing to transport a passenger. The Federal Government, NCDC and airport authorities have not confirmed the passenger’s identity, diagnosis or destination.
