UBA Group: Côte d'Ivoire dethrones Cameroon in 2025 as the top contributor to pre-tax profit

In 2025, the Ivorian subsidiary of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) generated a pre-tax profit of 126.6 billion naira, surpassing Cameroon, whose contribution fell to 61.9 billion. This performance marks a 121% increase compared to 2024 for Côte d'Ivoire, while Ghana also saw its contribution rise to 78.2 billion. This shift highlights the growing strength of African subsidiaries outside Nigeria in generating profits for the group.
