Gunmen kidnap 23 children from Nigerian orphanage

Gunmen raided an unregistered orphanage, the Dahallukitab Group of Schools, in Lokoja, Kogi State, kidnapping at least 23 children. Kogi Information Commissioner Kingsley Fanwo reported that 15 children were rescued due to a prompt response from security agencies, while eight remain missing. The wife of the orphanage's proprietor was also abducted. The orphanage was operating illegally without the knowledge of relevant authorities.
