Resumption of traffic on the Bukavu-Nindja road axis

After more than six months of blockade by AFC-M23 rebels, traffic has resumed on the Bukavu-Nindja road axis in South Kivu. Residents of the Nindja chiefdom joyfully welcomed the first convoy of motorcycles from Bukavu, carrying food and passengers. The organization Jeunesse active pour le développement believes this reopening will facilitate trade and access to essential services. The area remains under FARDC control despite high instability caused by armed groups.
