Kenyan consumers are facing increased pressure on milk prices after a 5% decline in formal milk deliveries in June 2026, according to the Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK). In Nairobi, some retailers are rationing milk purchases, while the price of fresh milk has risen from Sh70 to Sh80. Farmers, who account for about 80% of the country's milk supply, are reporting decreased daily yields due to drought and rising feed costs.
