IGP Disu visits Oyo communities, orders rescue operations after terror attacks, kidnappings

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu visited Oyo State following a terrorist attack and abduction incident in Oriire Local Government Area on May 15, 2026. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and condemned the attack as unacceptable. Disu ordered the deployment of additional tactical assets to strengthen ongoing operations and assured residents that the Nigeria Police Force is intensifying search-and-rescue operations.
