INEC denies Chairman’s alleged X account, warns against fake posts

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dismissed claims that its Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, endorsed a partisan post on X. In a statement, INEC stated that these allegations were baseless and a desperate attempt to undermine the Chairman's integrity. The Commission also warned that fraudulent accounts had previously been created to defraud Nigerians and vowed to take legal action against those responsible for this misinformation.
