Iran puts cost of war at $270bn

The Iranian government estimated on Tuesday that the cost of the war launched by the United States and Israel since February is $270 billion. Government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti that this figure is a preliminary estimate. She stated that the first step in determining reparations would be to assess damage to buildings, and that Iran would seek compensation from the U.S. and Israel.
