Japan PM says Iran war oil crisis having ‘enormous impact’ in Asia Pacific

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi warned that the oil supply crisis caused by shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz is having a significant impact on the Indo-Pacific region. During his visit to Australia, he noted that 80% of the oil passing through this strait is destined for Asia. Both countries agreed to enhance their cooperation on energy and critical minerals in response to this situation.
