Hamas must disarm, not ‘disappear’ from Gaza: Board of Peace’s Mladenov

Nickolay Mladenov, the chief diplomat overseeing the ceasefire in Gaza, stated that a political role for Hamas could be envisioned if the group disarms. He emphasized that disarmament is a sticking point in negotiations, while Hamas accused Israel of violating the ceasefire. Since the ceasefire began, at least 856 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces.
