Kano fire service records 58 fire incidents, 13 deaths in May

The Kano State Fire Service recorded 58 fire incidents and 13 deaths in May 2026. According to Director Alhaji Sani Anas, the service responded to 80 emergency calls, including 15 rescue operations. Thirty-four lives were saved, but property worth over ₦144 million was lost, while ₦437 million worth was saved.
