Zuru stood still in grief on Thursday as the remains of the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru, were laid to rest. Thousands gathered at the Zuru Jumu’at Mosque to bid farewell, including Kebbi State Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris and other political and traditional leaders. The late Speaker passed away on April 6, 2026, in a Cairo hospital, leaving behind a significant legacy in the development of Kebbi State.
