According to Knight Frank's 2026 Wealth & Investment Trends Report, most wealthy Kenyans own an average of three homes but choose not to rent them out. 44% of surveyed wealth managers report that their clients hold three properties. These homes are primarily used for personal, family, or long-term wealth preservation purposes, rather than as rental income sources. The report indicates that less than 10% of clients generate secondary rental income from their properties.
