KRA to Integrate Export Data with VAT Returns in iTax Starting May 2026

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced that starting May 1, 2026, export data captured in the Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) will be automatically linked to VAT returns filed through the iTax platform. This change aims to improve accuracy, reduce manual errors, and enhance compliance among exporters. Validated export values will be prefilled in the VAT return, and exporters will need to provide their Personal Identification Number (PIN) when lodging export documents.
