The US-launched Middle East war, nearly 100 days old, is disrupting global humanitarian supply chains. UNICEF logistics chief Jean-Cedric Meeus said vaccine air freight costs from India to Ethiopia, Nigeria, and the DRC have jumped 50-70%, and sea freight for education materials from China to Yemen and Mozambique surged 100-150%. African ports (Beira, Conakry, Abidjan, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa) are experiencing significant delays, impacting landlocked countries like Ethiopia.
