France and Morocco consolidate their new rapprochement

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu is on an official visit to Morocco to consolidate the rapprochement between Paris and Rabat, initiated after Macron's visit in October 2024 following three years of tension. The 15th high-level meeting is being held after a seven-year hiatus. Lecornu visited the royal mausoleum. Meanwhile, new investigations on alleged Moroccan espionage using Pegasus were published. Lecornu stated their goal is to strengthen cooperation and trust.
