Iran war could push 30 mn people into poverty: UN

The US-Israeli war on Iran could push over 30 million people into poverty, according to UN Development Programme head Alexander De Croo. He stated that it took decades to build stable societies, but only weeks of war to destroy that progress. Sub-Saharan African countries and certain Asian nations like Bangladesh and Cambodia will be particularly affected by rising energy costs and a lack of fertilizer.
