ADC demands independent probe of physiotherapist's death at Umahi's residence

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Nigerian Federal Government to launch an independent investigation into the death of physiotherapist Mary Habila, who was found dead at the Ebonyi residence of Works Minister David Umahi. The party also demanded that the minister step aside while the investigation is ongoing. The ADC accuses the Tinubu administration of shielding top officials and calls for a full autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The Ebonyi State Police Command has transferred the case to the SCID, while Umahi denies wrongdoing and advises the family to approve an autopsy.
