Five estates in Nairobi, including Lang'ata and Kitisuru, saw a drop in rental prices in the first quarter of 2026, according to HassConsult's House Price Index report. Lang'ata recorded the sharpest decline at 3.2%, followed by Kitisuru at 2.9%. This trend is attributed to increased housing supply and economic pressures on households. In contrast, other areas like Westlands and Gigiri experienced rent increases of 4.3% and 4.2%, respectively.
