Lawyer drags Sen Ireti Kingibe to ICPC over alleged N65m fraud, abuse of office

Abuja-based lawyer Elochukwu Obi has filed a complaint against Senator Ireti Kingibe with the ICPC, accusing her of defrauding businessman Mr. Nonso Okafor of $65,000 in October 2024. The complaint states that the senator's legislative aide pressured Okafor to lend money for urgent financial needs, promising repayment or contract awards. Months later, with no repayment or contracts awarded, Okafor realized he had been misled.
