Lebanon says war death toll from Israeli strikes passes 2,000

Lebanese authorities reported that Israeli strikes have killed 2,020 people since the start of the war between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah last month. The toll from the Lebanese health ministry includes 248 women, 165 children, and 85 medical and emergency personnel killed, along with 6,436 people wounded. Lebanon was drawn into the Middle East war on March 2 when Hezbollah launched attacks on Israel to avenge the killing of an Iranian leader.
