Nigeria is ranked among 10 countries responsible for nearly 70% of global deaths related to Hepatitis B, according to a World Health Organization (WHO) report. In 2024, viral Hepatitis B and C claimed 1.34 million lives, with Nigeria also listed among high-burden nations for Hepatitis C.
