Artemis II's journey so far... in 85 seconds

The four astronauts on NASA's Artemis II mission, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, are the first humans to leave Earth's orbit since 1972. They are on a path that will take them around the far side of the Moon, reaching a distance of 252,799 miles (406,840 km) from Earth, exceeding the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970. This 10-day mission will not land on the Moon but is intended to prepare for a potential lunar landing by 2028.
