Le Potentiel: Constitutional Revision in DRC: ECC Demands Inclusive and Peaceful National Dialogue

The Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) rejects any hasty or contentious modification of the DRC Constitution. It demands an inclusive and peaceful national dialogue before any revision, emphasizing that the 2006 Constitution emerged from broad consensus. The ECC insists on compliance with articles 218, 219, and 220, and on method as much as substance. Meanwhile, a march by the Citizen Coalition for the Nation (CCN) supported opening the constitutional debate in Kinshasa.
