French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, accompanied by a dozen ministers including Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, is visiting Morocco for a high-level intergovernmental meeting, the first since 2019. He is set to meet his Moroccan counterpart Aziz Akhannouch. Bilateral relations have warmed since Emmanuel Macron's recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara in summer 2024. The visit also paves the way for a possible trip by King Mohammed VI to Paris.
