The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) stated that Nigeria’s health sector will remain at risk without funding for specialized training and local drug production. PSN President, Pharmacist Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim, made this call at the 2026 Pharmacy colloquium in Yola, emphasizing that pharmacy education must be viewed as a strategic national investment for security. He added that Nigeria’s healthcare aspirations will remain elusive without a modern, well-funded pharmaceutical education system.
