Nigeria must reform policing, not just create state police - Sam Amadi

Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, called on the Nigerian Federal Government to reform policing rather than just create state police. Speaking on Arise Television, he advocated for greater decentralization to bring police closer to the people by restructuring the relationship between state commissioners of police and the Inspector-General of Police. He emphasized that the priority should be to properly diagnose the problem and adopt appropriate solutions.
